The project is officially launched with a kick-off meeting at ETH Zürich on 26/27th September 2020, attended by all academic partners. This month, also the Consortium Agreement is signed by all partners and the draft website goes live on 23rd September.
The call for PhD candidates is launched on 8th October 2020 through various platform, including EAHN, SAH, AHRA, and EURAXESS. Later this month a web-developer is commissioned to build the official TACK website, and Korinna Weber joins the TACK team as project manager.
The call for PhD applications closes on 8th November 2020, with a total of 247 applications received. By the end of the month, 45 applicants are shortlisted an invited for an interview. 26th November 2020 the SB meets in an online meeting via Skype to discuss the finalists among the Top 45 applicants. The same day the selected candidates are informed that they were invited for an interview.
The final 10 PhD candidates are selected by the end of December and offered a place in the network. This month, Tom Avermaete, the project leader also invited prospective Advisory Board members to join the project.
Gaia Caramellino joins the TACK network.
The First Version of Data Management Plan is complete; Hamish Lonergan (ETH ESR) and Mara Trübenbach (AHO ESR) join the TACK Supervisory Boards as delegates, and Johnny Chang develops the graphic identity for the network.
On 1st March the new TACK-website goes live, and the first Foundational Course Meeting is held in Delft and Rotterdam. At this occasion, the TACK Advisory Board members are officially presented: Stefan Anspach, Wivina Demeester, Françoise Fromonot, Boris Brorman Jensen, Hilde Léon and Caroline Van Eck. The first instalment of the TACK Talks – a series of conversations between academic and non-academic members of the network kicks off. Eva Sommeregger joins the TACK network.
Currently, the doctoral candidates involved in the network are embarking on their first secondments, while the TACK network is preparing for the next intermediate meeting at AHO and the next series of TACK talks. We are looking forward to another fruitful TACK-year!
