WORKSHOP/EXHIBITION “Forêt DesCartes” by Filippo Cattapan

In October and November master students of the Hasselt University take part in the exhibition Forêt DesCartes inspired by the working method of architect Christian Kieckens. The workshop is curated by Filippo Cattapan. The result can be seen in a small exhibition in De Singel.

Forêt DesCartes is the re-enactment of Christian Kieckens’ design and teaching practices and a tribute to his memory on the occasion of the opening of the Christian Kieckens Kabinet, Kieckens’ personal library which will be available for consultation in a dedicated reading room of the De Singel starting from 21 November 2023. Forêt DesCartes is a workshop, a seminar and a small exhibition, and is a collaborative experiment between several institutions: the VAi, the Z33, the University of Hasselt and the European research network TACK Communities of Tacit Knowledge.
