Claudia Mareis

Prof. Dr. Claudia Mareis has a background in design practice, design and cultural studies. She is a lecturer at the Institute of Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM), which she directed from 2013 to 2021. Since 2021, she has been Professor of Design and History of Knowledge at the Department of Cultural History and Theory at the Humboldt University of Berlin. There, since 2019, she is the co-director of the Cluster of Excellence ›Matters of Activity. Image Space Material‹.
