Foundational course sessions

The network offers three foundational course sessions. These are seminars that last one week – with a public round up session in which the insights of the week are shared with the broader academic community of the host institution. The foundational course sessions take place once per year, starting in March 2020.

 

Foundational course session 1

  • Content: two-day advanced course on ‘Approaching tacit knowledge
  • Methodology: one-day introduction course, in which the partners involved in the research cluster ‘Approaching tacit knowledge‘ present their methodological expertise
  • Secondments: one-day introduction and reflection on the role of the secondments, and the summer school
  • Introduction to Data Management Plan (DMP): half-day introduction to methods of data management
  • Transferable skills training: one-day course on project management in the field of research

 

Foundational course session 2

  • Evaluation: one-day evaluation of previous twelve-month training axis
  • Content: two-day advanced course ‘Probing tacit knowledge
  • Methodology: one-day introduction course, in which the partners involved in the research cluster ‘Probing tacit knowledge‘ present their methodological expertise
  • Secondments: one-day introduction and reflection on the archival, rhetorical and curatorial secondments
  • Transferable skills training: one-day course on communication skills in the field of research

 

Foundational course session 3

  • Evaluation: one-day evaluation of the previous twelve-month training axis
  • Content: two-day advanced course on ‘Situating tacit knowledge
  • Methodology: one-day introduction course, in which the partners involved in the research cluster ‘Situating tacit knowledge‘ present their methodological expertise
  • Transferable skills training: one-day course on valorisation in the field of research
